Photo shoot should always be about fun! This is the first and most important rule for everyone who wants and needs to do it. Anything that makes fun will turn out better and greater. This is my personal experience.
I had my first photo shoot back as I was a student. Although it made fun, it was quite annoying at the same time. Posing the whole day, doing what other people tell you. Smiling even if you don´t want to, being serious when you want to laugh. So unless you see it as an absolute fun, you better leave it.
For those photo shooting for the first time, here some inspiration.
Three things that will make your photo shoot unforgettable and fun
Only choose an outfit you feel happy and comfortable in! If you are wearing clothes that don´t fit to your style or personality the result will be seen in the pictures. Choose colors and garments you personally like. Comfortable clothes on the set are so valuable, believe me!
Choosing a location depends on where you live. Thus I am convinced that you can find great location wherever you are. You probably know all the hot spots or hidden treasures in your hometown. And even on the road or during vacation you´ll spot the right place. When you see it, you´ll know it. Sundays are good for shooting, as there are less people around. Again, choose a location where you feel comfortable, free and absolutely happy.
Having a great photographer is an ultimate key to success. Bond with someone you know or someone who has been recommended to you. Build a personal relationship with the photographer prior to the photo shoot. Being one with your photographer is really crucial if you want to have fun. Make sure you understand each other, laugh a lot and find some common base. Believe me – this helps a lot and makes the photo shoot so much easier.
This photo shoot & all photos were made by lovely Julia Eileen
She has an eye for details and while I was moving, talking or laughing she already made great pictures. We had such a great time together.
So, most important – always think about fun! Everything you do in life should be fun anyway. And so your photo shoot.
What are your experiences? And tell me, what are your favorite photo shoot locations?
