Jackie Kennedy Onassis was undeniably one of the greatest style icons of the last century. Together with Coco Chanel and other ladies she has been influencing millions of women all round the world. She was famous for her well-tailored skirt sets often paired with her perfectly coordinated pillbox hat and white gloves. Her style has been adored and copied by many – until today. She has been and still is a great icon and my personal inspiration.
In today´s post I am wearing her style and dedicating this story to her. I was doing some online research and found a sum up of three basic tricks, how to turn your outfit into Jackie´s style.
When in doubt, stick to the basics
We call it effortless chic – simple trousers, a blouse and a pair of trendy sun-glasses.
Keep a statement coat in your closet
Choose a few Jackie-like classic pieces, such as trench coat and knee-high boots. Keep them in your closet and combine with basic or any other colorful pieces.
Achieve a touch of mystery
Pretend to go incognito with a headscarf and big squared shades – so Jackie like.
I just love her style, as I go for classy and timeless fashion most of the time. Having a few statement pieces – like the well tailored coat in this post – and then combine it with seasonal trends. The coat and the A-line dress I am wearing here are from MAX & CO. Very elegant and for sure everlasting outfit.
So what do you think – did I successfully copied Jackie´s style? If you would like to learn more about this incredible woman, I can recommend the following books: Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis and A woman named Jackie
